Voting NO on Issue 1 means:

* You oppose expanding the ten-year corporate-subsidy plan known as     the Third Frontier.  It is a program that strikes at the heart of our traditional     free-market economy;  * You oppose putting the vast majority of businesses at an unfair competitive     disadvantage by pitting them against government-favored, taxpayer-funded     entities;  * You oppose a three-person, governor-appointed panel picking winners and losers     by determining who gets a tax break and who does not.  Technology development     should be driven by free-market and not state government;  * You oppose giving preference to certain businesses, universities, researchers,     and entrepreneurs who will profit financially from tax breaks that are not given to     all;  * You oppose allowing those individuals and corporations affiliated with universities     to use the tax supported infrastructure of a university for their personal gain when     formulating and marketing new goods and services for their own profit;  * You oppose bypassing the Ohio Constitution's 5% cap on state debt service;  * You oppose putting an issue on the ballot before rules and regulations for the     program have been established; and finally,  * You oppose a $63 million increase in debt service.  Ohio does not need more      government spending.  By locking our state into bond retirement, Issue 1 will shift     funds away from legitimate services.  Vote NO on Issue 1.  GROUP TO PREPARE ARGUMENTS AGAINST ISSUE 1:  Senator Lynn Wachtmann  Representative Tom Brinkman  Representative Diana Fessler  Representative Nancy Hollister

Additional comments and information: (RE OHIO ISSUE 1) as well as,  Ohio Economic Development (in general)!  ALSO CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING LINK RE ISSUE 1: IRRESPONSIBLE   Many State of Ohio elected politicians apparently feel that Ohio cannot  keep (save) or create jobs in Ohio unless they hand-out 75 percent   "TAX-BREAKS" for 10 years to businesses who operate in Ohio.  ALL TAX-ABATEMENTS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!  Whenever a tax-break   is given to any business, your artificially keeping the tax-rates higher  for everyone else.  The more tax-breaks you give out to "a-few", the  more you stress all other businesses in Ohio by keeping their tax   burdens higher.  Ohio Government handed-out $36 MILLION dollars  of HONDA's tax payments to their direct competitor FORD MOTOR  COMPANY, YET FORD IS STILL CUTTING BACK OHIO JOBS!  Ohio  Government gave TARGET CORPORATION MILLIONS OF DOLLARS  OF "TAX-CREDITS" that WALMART PAID IN TAXES!  THAT'S CRAZY!  OHIO's METHOD OF TAXATION IS UNFAIR TO OHIO BUSINESSES, AS  WELL AS, THE OHIO SCHOOLS.  In Ohio, you cannot help the schools  without hurting Ohio Businesses, and, you cannot help Ohio business  without hurting the Ohio schools.  The Ohio Legislators have been  ignoring "TAX-REFORM" for over 30 years and have been only been  active with "SPECIAL-INTEREST-GROUPS".  ISSUE 1 IS A PERFECT  EXAMPLE OF THE STATE OF OHIO USING "GIMMICK" METHODS TO  CLAIM THEY ARE DEVELOPING A FEW OHIO JOBS, WHILE THEY   CONTINUE TO IGNORE FAIRNESS IN TAXATION METHODS, WHICH   IS STRESSING AND LOSING MANY OTHER JOBS IN OHIO.   IF ISSUE 1 PASSES, IT COULD ALLOW A FEW OHIO POLITICIANS TO  "GET INTO BED WITH A FEW PRIVATE COMPANIES", PERHAPS, FOR  THEIR OWN PERSONAL-GAIN, WHILE PUTTING THE OHIO TAXPAYER   ON THE "HOOK" FOR A HIGHER STATE DEBT OBLIGATIONS.  THEY   HAVE DONE NOTHING TO MAKE OHIO BUSINESSES MORE   COMPETITIVE WITH THE OHIO CONSUMER, IN FACT, THEY HAVE   ONLY MADE THEM LESS COMPETITIVE.  OUR STATE LEGISLATORS NEED TO CONCENTRATE ON REAL "TAX  REFORM" AND FOLLOW SENSIBLE GUIDELINES FOR GOOD TAX  POLICIES, WHICH THEY BEEN IGNORING FOR 30 YEARS.  ISSUE 1 - IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY ISN'T.  IF THE STATE OF OHIO CAN "BORROW" $500,000,000.00 AND CREATE  30,000 NEW "HIGH-PAYING" JOBS WITHOUT RAISING TAXES; THEN  WHY NOT BORROW $5 BILLION AND CREATE 300,000 JOBS; OR  WHY NOT BORROW $50 BILLION AND CREATE 3,000,000 JOBS!    (IT WOULD ONLY PUT "THE-HOOK" ONTO THE OHIO TAXPAYER     FOR $50 BILLION PLUS INTEREST FOR 20 YEARS - - WITHOUT ANY     ANY NEED TO RAISE TAXES???????) - - WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL.  MANY OHIO VOTERS WILL GO OUT AND VOTE YES FOR ISSUE 1 ON  NOVEMBER 4th THINKING THAT THIS IS GOOD FOR OHIO.  MILLIONS  OF DOLLARS ARE BEING SPENT ON ADS URGING THEM TO VOTE   YES FOR ISSUE 1.  WHERE IS THE AD MONEY COMING FROM?  WHO   WILL ACTUALLY BENEFIT IF THE ISSUE PASSES?  I FEEL THE ADS   ARE DELIBERATELY DECEIVING WHAT IS ACTUALLY INVOLVED IF   THIS ISSUE IS PASSED.  ISSUE 1 NEEDS TO FAIL!  OHIO TAXPAYERS   NEED HONESTY (TRUTH IN ADVERTISING) TO MAKE A KNOWLEDGE-  ABLE DECISION.  THERE IS NOTHING WORST THAN TO MISLEAD   VOTERS WITH "GIMMICKS" THAT COULD HURT MANY OHIOANS IN   ORDER TO BENEFIT A FEW!  OHIO ISSUE 1 IS NOT RESPONSIBLE!  PLEASE ENCOURAGE ALL OHIO VOTERS TO VOTE NO ON ISSUE 1.
